Swan on the Amstel River, Amsterdam

Shot from the third floor of our hotel facing the Amstel River. Amsterdam is a beautiful city with wonderful people. We were there during SAIL Amsterdam 2015. I was struck by the movement of the waves, the water kicked up by the swan and the reflection of the buildings in the waves.

I was actually shooting a man sitting on the wall by the river when he sat up, startled, by the swan swimming toward him. I wanted to get them both, but the swan turned around and that is when I got this shot.
