I am using Elements 13. I want to transfer an accumulation of family photos to flash drives to give to various members of my family. Is there a way to transfer these photos so that the caption for each photo is included?
Hi RJ,
I don't know if there is a way in Elements to attach a caption; I'll let others more knowledgeable in Elements provide that information. The method I use to transfer photos to a magazine editor with captions is as follows. Let's assume the name of the photo file is "DSC01234.jpg." The caption would read something like "DSC01234.jpg = Mary and John at the mall. Photo by ????"
If I'm send one photo and one caption then the photo file is attached to an email and the caption is in the body of the email. If I'm sending multiple files, then I put all of the photos in Drop Box along with a MS Word file with all of the captions listed in it using the format above. Take care & ...

If the caption is saved as part of the image, you can do whatever you want with it. I often use Irfanview (free) to add captions. It's very fast, with lots of options.

I take it that you've added the captions in the Organizer? I don't use the Organizer and am no help there. But find Searcher on the forum, either by user name or in the Post Processing section. He's a whiz, expert or whatever other (positive) designation you want to give him, in all things Photoshop Elements.
For myself, I add a blank strip to the bottom or side of a photo, and write a caption or important information on there.
