We usually visit Conowingo on weekdays but broke our trend when we went down this past Sunday. We managed to get the last legal parking spot and found out later that there was a group of 45 from a camera store in central Jersey and another group from Western, MD there. Luckily the group from NJ came by bus. Not sure about the other group. It was a great day for "capturing" eagles though. I couldn't help but grab a couple quickies of the lineup of photographers. I was amazed and didn't actually FEEL crowded personally but my s/o did. Despite that we stayed several hours.
how in the world do you ever get in front of everyone so you can get a shot?

In the upper part there were gaps here and there. I didn't even attempt to go down to the level in the first shot. Some of my best shots were taken by aiming straight up though. lol See attached.

More new maps of Hell -- I'd have turned the car and gone just about anywhere else. Like Poetry, photography is at least a semi solitary pursuit!

That's definitely my s/o's line of thinking.....
I don't think I have ever seen it that crowded, even on a weekend. I guess I usually wait until it is colder. :)
Thanks for sharing.
