We have a swamp here in Hollywood Alabama built by Beavers damming
a local creek. The locals say it all used to be farm land but the beavers
flooded it. It is rich in wildlife and has a nesting pair of Bald Eagles here
to go along withe the other species. I have been photographing here for
two years now and have had to sit by the edge of the road and shoot
out across the swamp. It always seemed that the best shots might be
taken if I were out in it. I purchased me a plastic two man boat that
will take me out in the shallow water. Today was my test day and I
was quite pleased with how it worked. I was able to get a Kingfisher that
I have been after for quite some time and a close shot of a Flycatcher.

Great series. Amazing shots of the Kingfisher.
Very nice set. Looking forward to some shots of the eagles.

Thank you kindly I appreciate it. I have been on this forum for about
three years now trying to improve both on equipment and my photography. I love doing wildlife as I find it with all the action that I can get from my subjects. I only wish I could have started a lot earlier in life but I do enjoy it so much. Dennis

Well thank you, you know I appreciate it when you stop by to look at
my work. I still have a long ways to go at it and hope to have a little
time and health to pursue it. I have six more working days after today
before I retire. Glad it is going to happen right in the middle of eagle
season. Dennis
