I'm continuing my efforts at framing as taught with painstaking patience by Snap Shot (Bill). He spent hours with me even tho' we are in different time zones and I probably woke him up. My notes were crap when I went back to try it on my own but I wanted him to see that I'm persevering. :D

#1 is wonderful, Carla! So much charm and emotion - a delicate tiny dog all alone among the big, scary trees. Composition is super, the contrast of dark tones with the pop of white is perfect.

Oh, and the frame is nice too :)

Well done, Carla! The first is a fairy tale just waiting to happen. And the closer second shot is a honey, very appealing. Good work, and nice job on the framing!

Nice work, Carlysue, Bill is a good teacher, I know from working with him many hours myself, and you are doing quite nicely yourself. Well done.

Both pictures are nice. The first image, with the dog looking out of the frame, seems to reinforce the "Lost Dog" feeling. The framing are a nice addition.

Quite nice, "Lost Dog" reinforces that sometimes you need to bend the rule of thirds.

He is,isn't he. Hard to be angry with such a sorrowful look.

thank you for looking and commenting,Linda. I always value your opinions. I appreciate that you got the "charm and emotion", I find I like having an emotional impact in images.

Your opinions mean so much to me,Randy. Thank you for looking and commenting. If I can ever really get this framing thing down, maybe I'll try your techniques on doggie portraits. Of course this one would need a bath first...
