Try this. Go into GIMP (free download). Go to Colors in
taskbar, and fiddle with the contrast/brightness adjustments.

You will be amazed at what can happen to a picture such as number 1 above.

Enjoy.

I honestly think the title is misleading. For the record, the title said "Amazing watershots". :-(

That would be my question as well: #1 has lens flare, & 2 & 3 need the horizon fixed. #2 could benefit from a closer perspective cutting out the portion in the black

Give the guy a break, chaps. He's obviously excited about the pix and wants to share his pleasure. GIMP would really help him along too.

Keep shooting, Tune7!

Hey to all negative critics, this member has only just joined and is doing his best. A little support and guidance would be more useful and kinder.

These photos need some help. There are a lot of experts on this site that are always willing to help. I have learned so much here. I have found that when posting a photo and asking for comments you will receive "really good" advice that will help you. Disregard the negatives. Good luck and welcome to UHH.

And some people like to create a controversy where none exists. I simply asked what the OP thought was so amazing about these photos. I was hoping to get a response so I could help them understand why they looked pretty average, instead some had to chime in a make up a controversy presumably so they could jump i and look like a good guy.

Don't create an issue where there is none!

Thank you so much. I know these are not the best pictures but I am 15 with NO training of any kind, all of my pictures are taken from my cell phone. I was just looking for a new hobby

Hi new member:
Don't be mislead by a few hardened people in this club. I have received over the years wonderful advice by nice people. Keep shooting and practice. Take a lot of photos, play around on editing programs (many are free).

Photography is or can be a very self rewarding hobby. Using a cell phone is great for instant shots or selfies; however, would probably not be the best choice if you are serious about photography as a hobby. You can learn a lot here but if you are serious you should read several books by wonderful photographers. Good luck and have fun.

Picture #2 is very nice. I would not have posted #1 or #3. Being only 15 shows you have talent. Hopefully you will be able to obtain a "real" camera. Look at photos here and read photography books to learn basics. This could be a lifetime hobby for you.

First off welcome to UHH, always good to have a young new member

Cellphones have improved so much over the last couple of years as your shots prove. Somebody suggested getting Gimp which is a free editing programme, think this would help you improve your work and give you much enjoyment

Great avatar shot by the way

A trip of ten thousand miles starts with a single step... and a portfolio of masterpiece photographs starts with a single photo....

Hang in there Tune7eby and keep shooting!!
