Suggest you post it under Photo Analysis. Not much to say -- I would crop from the upper left to just the umbrella and the tops of the chairs. Sand doesn't add much IMO

From the top, lots of boring grey sky followed by tilted horizon. Boat traveling left out of frame. Wonderfully colored umbrella, chairs looking to right out of frame. Followed by tons of rather lifeless sand. I think this one might come together as a panorama with straightened horizon and cropped with next to no sky and maybe twice as much sand as cropped sky. (½ unit sky and 1 unit sand) Followed with the title, "Passing Us By". For what it's worth. ;)

Quixdraw was incorrect in suggesting photo analysis forum. That is for specific issues, such as, "Why is my image orange?"

I consider myself duly chastised.

Thanks for the comments. I like the elements of this photo, but they need to be put together in a different combination, including getting the horizon straight. I seem to never get that right the first time. I'll post the results of the new version.

Seems to me that this is not yet processed and I can see what you want to show in the photograph. I shoot this way too. Then adjust things in post processing.

Here is my take on how to make it pop more. Decided to process the photo instead of saying it in so many words. Hope you like it.

Straighten horizon. Crop out the grass in bottom right of image. If you crop up and have less sand, the image will be better. There seems to be a brush mark that is behind the boat, in the wake thru the horizon into the sky. If you are good at Photoshop, you could also add a different more dramatic cloudy sky.

I can see Badriacopo's point as far as the vividness is concerned, but not the composition: I prefer the original (maybe without the grass). The bands of colour /texture grew on me -think Rothko. A very arresting picture.
