Mule deer mate in late Autumn. Larger bucks migrate from the high country into Zion to mate and & do battle for the right to procreate. Early November was a good time for photography since the bucks are in rut and were paying far more attention to impressing the does than worrying about me

Thanks. Yeah I refer to the local roadrunners as Velocoraptors. Lizards don't stand a chance with them...&, just like the cartoon, I suspect they can run circles around coyotes.
