Welcome to the next challenge. Thank you Judy for hosting 'Then' and 'Now'. It was a wonderful challenge with very fun and interesting posts by everyone.

It must be the fall 'blues' as I am having trouble picking up my camera and getting out to shoot. I did go out one day to a nearby State Park knowing most of the colorful leaves had fallen....and hoped to find something of interest. And to make it more challenging I put on the 75-300 mm lens....not a good walk about lens....but very challenging....at least it was for me.

Great start Irene. Seeing the same old things each day can be very boring. I find that if I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a few seconds, to clear the clutter out of my brain, I sometimes come away with a new fresh idea or look on the mundane things in my life. Here are a couple that I see every day, and then one day decided to see what I could do with them.

Will try to get some on tomorrow of some of the things from my walk in the neighborhood today. There can not be anything more boring then what you see all of the time. It is the little things that can make a big difference of what you see.

Thank you Sunny.....and love your sepia silo! And, that is exactly what went through my mind when I saw your hydrant....does not exactly look like a location that would 'open'. And I like the blue and red color of the first hydrant.

Thanks Irene! This should be a great challenge! You are off to a good start. It does take some imagination to find something to photograph sometimes. I mentioned this before, but one of the things that will make one really "look" and use your imagination is to draw a circle around you about the size of a hula hoop (remember those!) and you have to take all your pictures while staying inside of it.

Here are a couple of pictures taken around the house...these are from my archives, but will work on new things tomorrow!

Thank you Irene. The blue, red and yellow is the color of that hydrant. Not only is it b-o-r-I-n-g, but it's ugly too...

There was nothing wrong with your photos! I liked the angles (POV) of the bridge and all the lines, pattern and lighting. also the color of the bridge match perfect with the color of the leaves in the last picture. You did a great job!
