I used the "Color Temp." White balance to make it some kind of orange color. Does it look ok or would it look better blue? Some how the splash is out of foucus even at f/16.

Open the lens up to f8, drop ISO to 200, decrease ambient light and i can't tell where your focus point is.
I think the creative coloring is totally your preference. This color makes me think of syrup or honey, which is kind of cool.
Looks a bit dark, but I'm viewing in a bright room.
Hopefully other folks who've done this type of photography can advise regarding where to set up the focus. You could use the search function above too; I know there have been several topics posted similar to this.
