Great Egret, Big Cypress Swamp. I especially like the way you can see how the feathers attach to the inside of the upper part of the wing. After taking thousands of bird shots this is the first time I have captured this. Please try the download and double click, thanks

Canon T2i, canon 400mm 5.6 L Lens, M mode, f/5.6, 1/1,600, ISO200, Spot Metering

This one is magnificent. The detail in the double-download is terrific. I can almost feel the feathers.

Great light balance Gregory. A nice, dark background to make the egret pop, but enough tonal range in the whites to create a beautful contrast in the feathers. Good on ya Mate!

You can see where someone got the idea of ailerons for the airplanes. Really nice shot on the double downloads. Can February be far off? I am so anxious to join you for a few days for the fourth time.

Your images always portray the beauty and grace of the Egret so well, Gregory.
