Yes. It just takes a little longer to render finished video.

Thanks.

Jerry....I got a retina display screen with a core i7. I had the choice of two graphics cards. The more expensive card would be for video and was a few hundred dollars more. I went with the graphics card that came with the Mac Pro. I was told that it should be sufficient for editing photos. If not, I was told that I can upgrade without a problem.

I've never been tempted to go overboard with graphics cards. I'm still using an old Dell monitor.

I was told by the Apple people that the virus protection built into the Mac would also cover Windows. At least that's what I was told. As it is, BitDefender has been a very good virus protector and I will maintain my subscription. My son has had no virus problems.

As far as preferring Windows over OS, it may be because it's just what I'm used to. The little I worked on OS, there were some things that I didn't like about it.

Careful, you're dipping your toes into the ocean of age-old Mac versus PC war and the undercurrent may pull you under... This likely won't end for another 30 pages.

Alright, Marco, I'll use OS when I shoot Canon and upload those photos and I'll use Windows when I upload photos shot with Nikon. How's that for bringing the pot to a boil even more?

really you have expanded your tool set, somethings will be better done with one os sometimes with the other. It shouldn't be a religious war.

On the other hand you may find the real plus to OSX is it keeps out of your way, not demanding you do things which is especially tedious when your doing something.
