Beautiful ! You are very close to that bear, curious what precautions do you take? We were just in Alaska and only saw three brown bears from a distance.
We kept hoping to see one a little closer. Maybe not quit as close as you see to be .

Thanks everybody.

Precautions were very minimal. The camp was in the wilderness with very few occupants at any given time. The rules were, do not leave even a hint of food that a bear could taste, if a bear gets too close for comfort take an aggressive stance, never follow a bear.

Simple, but it works in an area where the animals have minimal contact with people. I wouldn't walk around with a salmon in my pack, as that might get their attention. :)

Bill, you're the man! I would love to photograph these guys, but I can't figure out how to hold my Nikon at the same time as my 375 H&H!
