Coral King Snake

Sammy, great photo of a very good snake. I have caught one in my life when I used to collect snakes (back when I was a boy scout). Saw more coral snakes than we ever saw this king snake. By the way, for those who do not know why some snakes are called king is because they eat snakes as their main diet. The largest snake eater I believe is the King Cobra. Dr Haus (sp?), who used to own the serpentarium in Miami, had caught at least 2 King Cobras in the wild (South Florida). How they got there who knows. This was back in the 60s. My friend who got me into the scouts and collecting snakes caught an Anaconda in the drainage ditch we used to always hunt snakes at.

Now THAT's an interesting story. Tnx for sharing. And now that u mentioned it, I visited the Miami Serpentarium back in 1971 when I was stationed at Homestead AFB before I went off to war. Memories forever
