This afternoon, this little squirrel came to the feeder twice and I immediately noticed a difference between the new arrival and Earl. This one is slimmer and it has BOOBS! So, it would appear that Earl has a girl!
I'm no expert on squirrels, by any means, but do they normally have nursing young 'uns in the nest this late in the year?
Aw gee whiz.... I'm helping support a family of squirrels! How cool! I have a friend and she insists that I name the newcomer after her, so.... say hello to Shirley.... Earl's girl!
Taken with a Pentax K-50 using a SMC Pentax-F 70-210mm lens. ISO 800, 1/250th @ f:9.5
Viewing on the download will give you an idea of just how sharp this old lens is!
I'm not really a squirrel type person but those are great shots.

Nice shots, Dewman. :-)
Shirley is a great looking gal! No wonder Earl is smitten. Your shots of her are great.

Hello Shirley. Great portrait shoot.
Told ya! where one is, many are! You will be sorry you started feeding them! Well, not really. There are likely at least 20 around my house, if you count the ones from across the street who brave the traffic to get to my bird feeders. Some of them don't make it, though. :| great shots!

Earl will be very pleased, she is a beauty! :D
Looks like Shirley already has a litter somewhere that she's nursing. ;-)
Wow! Fantastic shots, Dewman! Shirley is adorable! I just love squirrels! Very well done!
