I have used Faststone to sort and rename images for a few years. I want to recomend Faststone to working with images in Windows 10 because it makes moving, deleting images easier.

I have arrived at this conclusion after only one day using Windows 10.

I hope this helps some you as you move to Windows 10 and want a easier why of working with images.

I have used Faststone Image Viewer for years as well. I love it. It is as good a file manager as there is. It works well in every version of windows that I have ever used and that goes back to the old XP. It also works well with Linux using Wine. And it is free! I would highly second the recomendation. Have a GREAT DAY!

And what program do you use to post process your images as fastone is also a developing program. You import your images to fastone and do you export them to lightroom or others to process? Thanks.

I only use FastStone for batch stamping dates. I use Paintshop Pro for editing and organizing.

I'm a big fan of FastStone Image Viewer (Capture program too).

My SD card goes into a card reader and open in FIV.
Shows full screen image and it is as fast as any other program I've tried, even on raw files ( USB 3 )

I tag the images I want to keep and only those get imported to Lightroom.

Has a load of other features also.

No experience with Win 10 though.

I use Zoner Photo Studio 18 for post processing my images.

I am finding it easier and more efficient to use FastStone to move images from SD to flashdrive. Then rename images in FastStone that I will process in ZPS. I store all my images on Amazon Photos. I post 5 images a day in 365Project.org. Then when I done with all that, I delete the images from the flashdrive using FastStone. Not the exact order of my workflow but all the elements are there.

I have to agree with you about Faststone John. I have mine set to delete an image (to the recycle bin) with no warning. That makes culling the non-keepers really fast and fun.
