143 year old Ohio farm house./ history included.
Located 2.5 miles east of Troy Ohio on State Rt. 41, it is now a Miami County park (Lost Creek Farm).
Built in 1873, it is the third structure on this site. The original cabin was built in 1800, and later replaced by a larger brick structure, which was torn down to build the current house.
The house was owned and occupied by the Knoop family(Mark and Dorothy).
The 4 original cabin stones still sit in the herb garden behind the garage of the current house. You can tour the house and surrounding grounds including the family graveyard. Viewed best on download.
Thank you for looking, not sure what "Digs" means. :-D

"Digs"... slang for house or other living accomodations.
Are you familiar with Waynesville airport? Small general aviation airport between Dayton and Cincinnati... back road.
1600 foot grass strip. Took my first flying lessons there. Busy airfield considering how small.
Very nice capture.

Thanks Kuzano, for educating me, and yes, I am very familiar with that airport. Took my first sailplane ride from, there. I hang out at New Carlisle airport (2 miles north of me) we only have a 2500 ft. strip, a little tight for a couple of the twins! Thanks for the kind words!

You are very welcome Sylvia, and yes, the house is in very good condition. The kitchen is updated and modern, however the rooms to a great degree are 1800's. It is a very beautiful, peaceful place to spend time.

Thanks Phil, good house once
Beautiful house, and well photographed Phil, you've done it proud,
Geoff
