I feel so stupid asking this question but I've tried everything. I have a Win 10 Lenovo laptop that I have LR on and have successfully edited and exported a group of images to a folder.

I want to move that folder off the laptop but when I right click on that folder I get no option to cut, move, etc. I keep getting the individual images opening up which is NOT what I want.

Anyone have any experience with Win 10 who can help me?

Can you left click on the folder and drag it to the new location?

Why don't you simply export from LR to where you want it rather than export, then go move in the OS. Do it all in one single step!

Or simply click and drag on the folder.

The folder doesn't click and drag. In the future I do plan to connect an aux drive and use that so I don't have this issue. But this issue is RIDICULOUS to have! What use is a folder is I can't DO anything with it? Not yelling at you, of course. Just terribly frustrated with what I assume is a Win 10 issue.

No, when I right click I get NO options at all and it usually opens up all the images like I'm looking at a gallery on my website.

Ok, an option just popped up asking if I wanted to add that folder to Pictures. I said yes and now I have all the right click options. Issue solved but I have no idea HOW or WHY it happened that way to begin with. If it wasn't IN Pictures already I really don't understand WHERE it was. MUCH to learn about this new Lenovo laptop.

Thanks so much for all your help.

I would shut down for about 10 minutes then reboot. Once fired up go to the folder and click and hold and drag to an external storage device IE thumbdrive. If you are selecting the folder before you click and drag Windows may be interpreting that as a double click and opening the folder. Worth the try.

Well folders do click and drag, so it sounds like you have a OS issue. Are you getting any errors.

Do you try to export from LR to where you wanted it in the first place rather than try to move it after the export?

Issue is resolved, Capture 48, but thanks. See a few comments up to see what happened. As for the why of all this..... I planned to FTP the folder to my company's site but I couldn't get Filezilla installed so I was trying to move the folder to a drive so that I could then FTP from my desktop computer. I've since resolved the FTP issue. I was thinking this laptop was 64 bit and I was getting messages about needing new drivers, etc. I rejected that notion since this laptop was only built in Sept and then found that it's 32 bit so the proper install did work and I have now FTP'd that folder. AND I can also now MOVE that folder. I really don't like the Win 10 automatic way of dealing with photos. Somehow that's now changed. Wish I knew exactly how I did it. Ha!

Thanks so much for your attempts to help. Much appreciated.

Click & drag has nothing to do with OS version. Its a basic operation of most OS's that have a GUI component. Maybe you are not explaining it very good, or I just don't understand what issue you had?

I guess as long as it is working - problem solved. It's somewhat perplexing because Filezilla has no effect on your OS's ability to drag a folder. Glad it is working!

Be careful that you don't jeopardize your sanity trying figure out what happened! Good to know the issue is resolved.

Sorry, I didn't mean to indicate that Filezilla had ANYTHING to do with it. If I'd had Filezilla working right away I would have had no need to move that folder. Sorry to confuse.
