Just got the Impact 500W 3 moonlight setup and am wondering for remote do they all get set to the same channel and same group. The remote would do the same changes to all 3. Should the Group all be the same and the channel the same or different.
Can anyone help, this is my first set of studio lights.

How you group them and the channel setup depends on what you want each of them to do. It's probably better to have each act as its own source of light, unless you're photocopying something.

What kind of triggers are you using? The setup can vary depending on what you want to accomplish. A portrait example I use Pocket Wizards both the Flex, and the PlusIII's. In a three light setup, I will have all three receivers on the same channel, but each will be in a separate zone. Keylight=Zone 1, Fill Light = zone 2, and hair light = zone 3. IN this manner I can control different power levels to each zone.
So let us know what triggers you are using and what you want to accomplish with them.

Experiment!!!!! trial and error works very well. Now I use Alien Bees, all lights are set to the same channel for the remote, then the power is adjusted for the effect you desire.
Once again experiment!!!
