I like the color version but only because it is subdued in saturation. Nice composition.
He looks as if he's trying to decide if he really wants to consume the high priced cuppa in front of him, or -- he's thinking of how he's gonna explain the dented fender when he gets home. :)
Whatever it might be, your photo conveys a sense of deep thoughts.
Both images are remarkable and I found myself looking for quite a while. I think the b&w allowed me to look more on his face where as the color seemed to bring me more into his surroundings. Impressive,both.

I like them both. What really appeals to me though is the low viewpoint; good one.

I think I like the black & white best, but they each have their own qualities and assets. Very good job!
