Hello I just joined this site.

I was browsing around about my camera and found this site so I thought I'd give it a try.
Last week I obtained a Nikon D2x because frankly can't afford the newer professional models. I have a D5000, so I'm a little conflicted. My D5000 takes awesome pics without any noise. The D2X has to have the ISO setting at 800 or less if you want to avoid the grain. Anyone have any opinions on this Nikon D2X I just got? Thanks!

When the D2X was introduced in 2001, it was a very good professional camera, it's still a good camera even by todays standards

Welcome to the UHH. Nothing wrong with either of those cameras. The D2X is a worthy workhorse and should give you good results for many more years. I would get an extra battery for it though, they are sort of short lived and no longer a current model.

Welcome to the forum, Nikongirl. Can't help on the D2X, nor the D5000. Still trying to learn all the ins/outs of the D200. Had it 5 years or so and feel like I'm just scratching the surface.
