Was Going to toss it, but...

I decided to fiddle with it in post. It was really early this morning that I met "EVIE" from our forum out at Cosumnes River preserve. We were hoping to obtain some captures of the Sandhill cranes, but they were up and about before we could get some good shots in.
I did experiment on some very long exposures in the twilight dawn. I have posted the before and after shot just to show you that you can muck around sometimes and get something usable.
Not sure if I am going to keep the final, but it is artsy in a way. Enjoy the download.

I had a great time with a great person. I hope we have many more adventures in the future.

With all those toys you have, you have a lot of fun ahead. I hope I was able to provide some helpful suggestions along the way.

I like these David. I would like to do some "artsy" shots of my dragonflies but I'm not sure where to start. I shoot them for the record so I need to get all the correct field markings for identification. Anyway, nice work.

I understand where you are coming from. I am one of the contributing photographers for one of the Dragonfly field guides...but you may want to make a copy of one of you inverts and start moving those adjustment sliders. You never know exactly where you are going.
Here is a sample of just mucking around. Makes an interesting screen background.
I really like the mood and style you have created in this one David, and you can toss it my way, for sure. Very nice!

The shot was at ISO 3200, and the noise was not one that I would normally keep. but after playing around with it, I am going to reconsider some more options with leaving in the graininess in images.
