Thanks for being patient with me

After reading some of the replies on here over the last couple days the light finally came on that I was being too impatient and not really experimenting enough. Yesterday and today I laid out all my lens, reverse adapters, tubes and all my step up/down rings
after a lot of experimenting I came up with a reversed prime 50mm 1.1:8 and a tube w/7mm this gave me a working distance of 4 1/2 inches.
My work was difficult as I had to move the tripod as I had lost the camera screw out of my 4 way rail - no biggy as I have a new bellows on order.

Here is my results - C&C welcome

Harvey,
It's look good. A bit of order/organization in your experiments is paying off nicely.

Thanks for the post - I am sure I can get a clearer/more focused shot with the rail or bellows - so far this setup has given me the best working distance - tomorrow I'll hit the hardware store for a new bolt so I can use the rail.

You are getting there. No amount of reading or watching videos can compare with actual hands-on experience.

You are so right on with that. I have a very hard time understanding most technical instructions so it boils down to lots of experimenting, and practice.

After reading some advice given here I could not get out in the back yard fast enough when the rain stopped.
Here is my "keeper" of the day: ISO 400, reversed 50 mm, 1/125-sec at f/11.
I know now I'll need to really work on getting better DOF.
C&C if you want

Hard to critique when you only post a thumbnail.
You should check the box labeled (store original), so we can enlarge.
