Great shots Linda! The first one should be hanging on a wall somewhere, it's wonderful...looks like he's ready to fight you! I'm working on editing some of a ram I shot this spring in Wyoming, sheep (in this area anyway) are such great subjects. For as wild as they are, they will stand and pose, strut like a turkey...
Excellent shots of these fine looking animals Linda.
Great shots Linda, have never seen them in pastures before, but have to admit easier feeding. Wonder if it is because there isn't as much wild grass.
Magnificent animals. Nice of them to make it a bit easier on you. Well done. Enjoyable set.
I'm amazed that you found the sheep out on open ground like that! Great shots!
Great shots. They appear alert but not particularly concerned!
I was surprised a good number of years back in Yellowstone at how close you can get (relatively / safely). A Ranger had told me where a herd was hanging out -- so I hiked up. Can't recall if I had 200 or 300mm, but I ended up with a funny series. I kept taking shots then moving closer because I felt each time I moved that they were going to run. Ended up at a useful distance for the lens -- had a chuckle when I reviewed the film.
