On our way to Hickory Run we made a wrong turn, and Al was asking for directions in a gas station so of course I got out and started taking pictures. I heard the strangest sound..a train, and it sounded like it was coming from the main street in town. I thought this couldn't be when "what to my wondering eyes should appear" but a train going down the main street! It didn't cross it, but paralleled it. This is a bad shot 'cause I couldn't get my camera up quickly enough, but I though some of you might enjoy it.

Thanks for the thumbs up nosretep!
For a rail fan like myself, there are no "bad" train shots. Glad you caught these and thanks for posting.
P-burg! You guys were a little lost. It's not always a bad thing though. You get to see a lot of interesting things you weren't expecting.

:D Glad you weren't standing on the tracks as you were attempting to figure out where that strange sound was coming from. STORYTIME.....we experienced something similar 47 years ago while on our honeymoon. We pulled into a campground area very late one evening in Alberta, Canada having failed at finding a place to stay for the night. Pulled out our pop tent...set it up & turned in for what was left of the night. In the wee hours of the morning, like 4 AM.....we heard a train coming very close to were we camped. We hugged each other fearful to move in any direction. Suddenly there it was.....roaring thru our area about 5 foot from where we set up the tent causing the ground & tent to shake!! WHEW.....we never used the tent again! Thanks for stirring up one of those seldom thought about 47 year old memories. :D Bob
Thanks so much, tbell7D! I just couldn't believe what I was seeing! lol
That's certainly true, Doc!
Wow, Bob! What a scary experience! I'm just glad I didn't run down to the main street and stand in the middle to get a shot! LOL
I love trains. Nice shots, Sue.
Thanks, Jim, but they aren't great, just fun shots.
Glad you found them, Pat!
