Has anyone upgraded to El Capatain and still uses CS5 & LR5? I was wondering if their were any problems before I go ahead and do this upgrade. I also use nik, OnOne and topaz. I have no problems with Yosemite and perhaps I should leave well enough alone. Any comments?

Can't speak to the adobe products, but there has been chatter about problems with El Capitan (Apple) in other areas.... browsers, etc.
May want to do a general search on internet.
Naturally this will be followed by enraged Hoggers, who state "I did it and I love it!"
Just saying I saw some internet concerns. I did a search on Google for "problems El Capitan". Got plenty of links to browse. Might want to wait a bit to jump in.

I haven't upgraded yet. I usually wait a month or two to be sure all the glitches have been ironed out.

You will have to reinstall Topaz, just go to their downloads page and select accordingly. Working fine.
Can't comment re your other apps.

I have upgraded and had no problems with CS5 but had to download some legacy Java file. Macphun doesn't fully work but will be upgraded on 15th October. I only know this due to comments on the their forum.

I've heard that tethering in LR is somewhat spotty, thats the only issue I know of. However I never jump on the first release, let the early adapters find the bugs. I almost always wait for a dot release. And when you do upgrade, go the Nuke-n-pave route. Although strictly speaking it is not necessary, it is the best way to go. And of course prior to upgrading, backup, backup, backup. Not just a normal backup, but a clone backup.
My process
Clone current drive
Make sure all backups to Crash Plan are completed
Make sure Time Machine backups are caught up
Nuke drive and upgrade to new OS
reinstall programs and restore data.

Here is a website for application compatibility:

In general I don't upgrade until the next update. So I'll wait for 10.11.x before I budge.
No problems except that Parallels Desktop would crash the entire Mac when launching.
Fixed by removing all traces of software made by "Eltima".

The Adobe products should work well with the new version of OS X; however, I'm not upgrading right away and perhaps you shouldn't either to make sure any bugs other users have found are patched.
Then, should there be any problem with either CS5 & LR5, you can go to Adobe for a work around solution.
Thanks for all the responses. I think I too will wait abit before I jump in. Everything is working just fine so why upset the apple cart.
I think you have to upgrade eventually just to stay with the technology. I upgraded and wish I had waited as I've run into a number of glitches, spent some quality time with the Apple people and still think it's slower and more apt to unexpectedly crash programs.
Having said that I have not had any special troubles with LR and PS but I'm not--yet--a very heavy user of those programs.
I downloaded it and am generally happy with it, however there seem to be some minor issues with it. For example, sometimes I have to click on a link a couple time before it will respond, and going from one page to another is sometimes delayed. Other than that, it seems to be working just fine. I don't have LR, etc., so can't comment on it, but other software I have seems to be working normally. Good thing about the Apple system is that as soon as issues are discovered, they come up with upgrades to fix any problems that have occurred.
