I took these pictures with the intent to give them to the priest of the church after I entered them in the county fair. They took a reserve champion ribbon. When I went to give them to the priest, I found out he died a month before the fair. He was such a nice person I have no doubt that he is saying mass in a better place yet. Maybe he has membership in UHH and can see the final result.

Roman Catholic. Easy call from the arrangement of the altars, the altar cloths, the crucifix (interesting placement), what appear to be stations of the cross, and the tabernacle lamp that is partly obscured on the left.

It is a beautiful church which had the fortune to have a really nice priest. I only had the opportunity to talk to him once but he left a lasting impression on me. In the few minutes he gave me left a lasting impression.

Thanks Art. The day was in my favor even though I shoot them in the brightest part of the day. Even the inside was shot without a flash. However I had good equipment (Nikon D700, and 24-85 vr with a monopod). As another mentions it is a Catholic church.

You are so correct. The inside of the church is really something. What you didn't mention is the stained glass windows. Any couple would be thrilled to have a wedding done there or even a baptism when the time comes. Unless the ceremony was performed in the middle of the night, a photographer would have more than an even chance to get good shots without the use of a flash.
