Nice captures Jim... it was too cloudy here... I would have tried but conditions were awful so I skipped it this time......

Thanks for the kind comments Angela. The night didn't start that way. My partner and I drove out of down only to find complete cloud cover. But then the clouds began to clear and this it what we saw. We got lucky.

I was using a Canon 70-200 with a 1/4 tele. convert on a 50d camera. The setting varied. Manual, iso from 800 to 2000, f stop 5 to 13 and 2 seconds to 15th of a seconds. Manual focus. We tried it all.
