Remove your lens filter before taking any moon shots. That will prevent the lens flare in the future.
If you notice, it's a mirror image reflection of the crescent on the lower portion of the actual moon.

I had no filters on my lens but no matter what I did, I got lens flare unless I had the moon perfectly centered on my live view screen.
