Got a notice that B&H shipped my new Nikon 200-500 today and will be delivered Tuesday!! Hope to post some pics with the new lens.

I have had the lens for a week and I LOVE it! Works well with my 1.4 and 1.7 converters on both my d7200 and my D810.
This seems to be the best super zoom for the Nikon compared to the Sigma and Tamron super zooms. Very pleased. Sold my 80-400 already. You will need to buy a real case to protect the lens.

Thanks RGH. That's good to know. I use a d7000 and d3 and look forward to selling a couple of lenses too-so I can G.A.S. up on converters!

Glad to see a report from someone that has real hands on experience. My local camera store has 2 of them in stock. Because of your positive input I think I will stop in tomorrow and add one to my camera bag.

As soon as the rain stops I plan on using the lens and posting something! We need the rain but I need to use my new toy, I mean, lens

Yes! UPS dropped mine off last evening. Couple of quick shots to ensure everything was working. I really believe I'm gonna like it!! Hope you have yours, as well.
