Remember years ago when the mini skirt was popular? There was a rumor spreading that these made girls legs fat in the winter. The idea was that their legs got colder, so the body added layers of fat to keep them warm. Nonsense - but lots of people believed this.

I think it's the same with selfies and lice. I'm not even going to check this on Snopes. You don't have to put you head against someone else's for the lice to transfer. That's why lice spread so quickly in schools. If teenagers hang out together, and one of them has lice, they will all have lice.

There is nothing about it on Snopes. You are right about the transfer between students but maybe by putting their heads together the lice don't have to use pole vaulting poles to get to the other head. Faster transfer?
