The posture of the guy on the left makes him look more like a body guard than a barber. Perhaps he is .. perhaps the barber has disappeared into that door that except for it's black frame, blends in with the walls. The man waiting doesn't look like he needs a hair cut .. is he there for a shave .. for something else entirely? The way you've framed this draws the viewer's eye up to the door, opening it, stepping in, looking around. It flows very well. The b&w brings out the gritty feel of this barber shop. It's definitely not a place where you get your hair "styled" .. you get a hair cut. Fascinating shot, Graham .. I bet you don't get your hair cut here.

Nice in depth critique, Sandra. I would add to the outside stuff by commenting on the large graceful shadow below the window. Provides a lovely touch to a mostly angular setting.
Great photograph, Graham. Must be getting close to closing time - or past - and the inhabitants are talking over the gains of the day.
This photo is great- a wall hanger! There is no central subject but a bunch of subjects. It keeps you eyes (and mind) busy looking at it.
As always, a another interesting image from Graham
