I came back to the Dark Side - it feels very comfortable here. And the flowers are just as graceful.

Thanks Earnie. I shot this with a telephoto lens to create the wonderfully blurred background ..... and it worked!

Thanks Bob. I keep coming back to the structure ...... it's gorgeous. Here's one I shot last year at this time. Monochrome does wonders with this plant.

Nice shot, Bob, and I like last year's version even better! Of course, if it's not done in color, does it then become Blackandwhitenrod?

Good job!

Thanks Randy. Blackandwhitenrod eh? Yep, the two photos are different, I suppose mainly because of the background ..... I kept it in this year as I had effectively blurred it with my camera settings. Besides, who want to do the same picture twice?

Graceful is the word I would have used. Looks great in mono. I like the background, the light on the buds and the framing as a finishing touch. Very nicely done.

Thanks Erich. I'd stayed away from monochrome for a few weeks and decided it was time to get reaquainted with Silver Efex once again. The frame is courtesy of FastOne Image Viewer.

Thanks John. And if I ever want to try it again, we've got plenty of the stuff around us. I especially liked the background on this one ..... a bit more interesting than plain black.
