Sounds interesting, will the Sports lens improve, on fast pace of most sports, the quality and clarity of the pictures? even if your camera can only take 5 frames per second?

I just received mine. I actually have some pics posted both have" hand held" in title. Both bird picks. You are going to like this lens, it has taken some getting used to because of it's weight but keep practicing, it is manageable for hand held. Welcome to the club of Sport owners. Many happy years of shooting to you!

Yea, Congratulations, I'm waiting for mine also. How long of a wait did you endure? It's been two weeks for me since I ordered mine.

IM not interested in the lens for sports just the build and the weather sealing.

I have the 150-500 but IT don't seem to focus very well on my D7100, did a great job on the D300, will be loaning it to my very dear friend, she has a D300.

I will most likely use the lens on a tripod, I can't hardly hand hold anything these days, unless its in the studio using strobes.
