I can understand why this would be a favorite landmark - the two light poles add lots of interest to the gate. And, the light was excellent for your beautiful work! As always, I love this.

Thanks Bob. I've stopped by this gate many, many times, usually waiting until some people are actually coming through. This time I decided to feature the gate just by itself.

Thanks MT native. I've always liked the better color and resolution of the download versions.

Thank you Rowedeane. Now I'm tempted to go back and shift my perspective a bit more to the right so I capture the wrought iron gates in their entirety.

Thanks Jim. I just checked the EXIF data and the photo was captured at 11:36 A.M. - not quite Noon, but the sun was fairly high. I just know if did a good job of lighting up the trees and casting some interesting shadows from the gate. I was also able to line up my "hatching" to capture the same angle. I think I may have learned a new trick.

Thanks Randy. Light is so "random" as my daughter would call it. It's not like one can say if I go out at certain time of day, I will have this kind of light. Hmmmmm, weather and clouds. And here all along, photographers have been looking for the light ...... we just need the right weather.

Thanks Jim. I'm glad I went with a wider angle this time. The two lamp posts really add a nice touch.
