A friend found this nest and it was only 6 miles from the house. I am still smiling!
Erv,
Are they bulding, feeding or what? I don't see anyone laying on the nest nor do I see them bringing nest building material or food. Up here, when they have eggs, someone is laying on the nest at all times. After the hatch, they will both leave the nest for a short period of time or one will stay and guard the nest from a strategic branch.
Nice action shots.

Hi Lee
A few folks that are watching the nest says the chicks are hatched. They have seen the little heads pop up a few times. They were taking turns on the nest. Just as we got there the male brought in a fish. Saw him just as we got out of the truck. This was after work, so it was getting pretty cold and they stopped coming and going. Going back this weekend if the weather lets me.

Thank you! Now that I have all the nerves settled down, I can go back over and shoot some without such a big smile.

Thanks Sharon
I am going to try and go out 2 times a week. It is fairly close to home. Only 15-20 minute drive.

I envy you having a nest so close.
I'm envious that you have a nest so close! I don't think I would be able to stay way! Keep up the great work!!!
I appreciate the thrill of seeing and photographing eagles. This was a great series and a great find for your first experience.
