There's no red herring. I've managed to state my opinion without asking anyone to leave. You can claim it's the same as what you've posted, but that doesn't mean it is.

Carioca, just as a point of clerity rpavich did not ask Diet to leave he simply said if you want to then do if you don't then don't. rpavich was not asking Diet to leave.

Evidently you don't know the definition of what a red-herring is.

A red herring is a response that has nothing to do with the question that was asked...its' a deflection, hence the name.

Carioca seems to have an issue with me, that's fine, not everyone is going to like me. I'm old enough to know that, and I'm also old enough to know that not everyone is going to agree with how and where I stand on issues. It's not my job to make people see things my way, and to be honest I don't have the time or the energy to do so.

I enjoy my time here, sharing my love of photography with others, making new friends, helping other members and learning a little long the way. Carioca can try all she wants to drag me into a "fight" but I have stated my feelings (which are mine) and that is that. She can twist and turn them all she wants, I am happy with who I am, what I am doing and how I have choosen to react to this situation.

Be very, very clear. My issue is with the threat you made.

There are a lot of members here with profiles that link to their business and personal websites, and they should not have to live in fear of being threatened with harassment on or off this forum.

Yeah, I read that one. I was wondering a lot of things about Diet, until I read the comment I discribed earlier where he said we helped him to get a lot off of his chest. Then I realized a lot of things and I am kind of glad I haven't read any more of his posts than I already have. Anyway, I am about tired of commenting on his old posts and looking at the other discussions that have popped up on them. I think it is time to start some new threads on here and get this place back to being fun again. So when I come up with some ideas on what to post, be looking for them.

That works two ways...if YOU are going to post about an illegal activity - stalking, to be specific - that you declare an intent to take part in, then you must realize that some people are going to take offense to that and call you out on it.

That's the difference between us: I make no threats to you or anyone else. I won't be looking at your websites, trying to find a way to get to you outside this forum. You have my word on that.

I don't think so. This poster shows a bit more intelligence in their post than Diet ever did. Just meaning the choice and style of words isn't what Diet had a grasp of.
