Rugged mountain terrain, trees, and "lace".

A few "unnamed" waterfalls near Silver Star Mountain in SW Washington - just to the northeast (mostly east) of Battleground, Washington. And one flower...sorry, couldn't resist. Please enjoy and vote for your favorite! (Critiques are always welcome too.) [All taken with a Canon 40D and the Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS (original version)]

Very nice, I really like the last one, how did you get the background so dark?

Glad you like them. With Microsoft's office 2010 picture editor I navigated to the Brightness and Contrast settings, opened up the Advanced settings, and adjusted the Shadow setting to a -10 or -15. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks! I think so too. Just used the "Shadow" slider in Microsoft's 2010 picture editor (part of the Office suite) under the Advanced settings within the Brightness and Contrast area.

Thank you for posting, the only place I have seen rock that purple was out in South West. I don't remember the name of mineral that gave it the purple tone. I found the rock extremely interesting at the time. Keep on clicking that box. Bill
