My Canon nomenclature is a little rusty :)
I can tell you that this was shot with a D4 and I used Continuous AF (with just a single AF point). If single servo is the same as Nikon's single shot, then I'd say they are doing it the hard way. Nikon's single shot AF can't track - once it locks in, it stays that way until you remove your finger from the button and reacquire focus. The only way I'd want to use a single shot type AF would be if I knew where the dogs were going to be and prefocus on that point (like a jump or something maybe).

Actually there were in Yellowstone. We have them in OH, just can't get anywhere near close enough - at least not in my neck of the woods. I do hear them howling at night though (I live out in the country)

I have watched them Pounce and play for hours while Deer Hunting In Texas.
They were eating Grass Hoppers when I saw mine.

Welcome to UHH, Steve. Great shots of the coyote. Because you are new here you may not be aware that there will be a photo get-together at Salt Lick Park on the 19th. Erv and Jack have organized it so it should be the ultimate day-in-the-park. This is from Erv: "It is going to be at Salt Fork State Park The park in just North of the intersection of 70 and 77. north on 77. This is east of Columbus. We will be meeting at the Lodge that is in the park. And I think around 9 or 10 would be good."
