Someone told me about this site months ago and I finally logged in. I've already learned a few things just tonight by browsing around a few threads. I've been at this for less than a year, learning first on a Rebel (Canon T5i) with a Tamron lens n(16-300), and then picking up the Canon 7D Mark II with the Canon 100-400 USII lens. I've also been using an extender ( Canon 1.4 Mark III) sometimes as I love to shoot birds and wildlife.
This is a great resource as I'm often overwhelmed, learning different cameras, lightroom and smug mug while I'm still working. I'm excited about the opportunity to learn and improve my work.
Welcome to the Hog.You can learn alot and have fun doing it.
Thank you, hiker. I see you are a fellow Californian!

Welcome
I use a 6D and a 7DII.
Tamron 10-24, Tamron 150-600, Bower(Samyang) 14mm, Canon 24-105L, Canon 70-300, Canon 50mm Canon 100-400 Mk I. All except the 10-24 are EF mount so they work on both bodies.
I do most of my bird photography at the Riverwalk Parkway along Pierce by the Corona/Riverside city limits. Bum knee that is healing slowly so that is a good spot for me, sidewalks and close parking.
I also do a lot of events etc. at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris. When my knee is OK I work streetcar motorman and train conductor at the museum.
Hi Robert! I like to go to the Riverwalk myself!!! Pretty great place to go in the city, isn't it?
I have some Egrets and Heron shots I like from the Riverwalk. Are we allowed to post a smug mug link here? I wasn't sure. I have an egret gallery and a riverwalk gallery from the Riverwalk.
Anyway, hello!
Aloha M.A.Pathy and welcome to UHH. Glad you have found us and you are probably learning that this site can become very addictive. The main thing is to enjoy and be happy.

Far right of the first line under forum name click Help and then from menu click forum rules.
In general we post photos here rather than links to our photos elsewhere.
Also when a first post in a thread has a link the Admin moves it to "links and resources".
