Pentax, is very good. I'm Happy for you. I'm retired, you know, fixed income and all that, But I'm livin the life of "Riley" as they used to say, with 3 fabulous Pentax "DSLRs and a bevy of PENTAX lenses... It's all about the lenses, and I think Pentax glass is as good as any. Compare to canikon, PRICE-WISE.. I would never have gotten the Range of lenses that I have in Pentax, buying CANIKON.. Enjoy your pentax..... Now do you hafta move over to the "pentax forums" ??
I always get a "kick" out of this guy's responses. Almost always no more than TWO WORDS.... RJM :D :D

it was pentax that got me started in the first place as a kid, ''bloody spotmatic'' as my mother would say. i badgered and badgered to get that camera :) i too think pentax glass is some the best around. i still make a lot of use of takumar.
Impressive looking camera, some reviews about this camera are calling it the best medium format camera ever.

For me, it was a 13 month "Vacation"? to VietNam provided (free-of-charge) By the Us gobment, That got me into Pentax cameras and lenses. My "Spotmatic" was just swell. I only got two lenses at the time, A 50mm f1.4 and a 200mm telephoto. I shot a lot of pics with all that, untill about 1988, when I sold it (too cheaply) to a sail-boater that I used to race with. I raced "with" him, not against him, and the first couple of seasons on board, I was only allowed to bring the captain his beers, and take a few pictures. I ultimately got to snuff headsails and haul up spinnakers, that's when I sold him(did I say "CHEAPLY?) my pentax gear. I'm using strictly Pentax stuff, again, after a brief relationship with canon, that ended when I couldnt bring myself to spend that kind of money on their great lenses, and I tired of the low quality of their KIT-quality, kit lenses..
WOW! Enjoy...when you can post some pictures.
Reminds me of my format envy days. It was first on my affordability list because I loved my ME and the lenses.
