I'm looking for a fast 35mm (f/1.4 or f/2) lens? No preference on brand (not yongnuo, though). I thought I would check here before searching on eBay, Amazon, etc. I'm looking to purchase or trade. Thanks :)

ABCs - Adorama, B&H Photo and Cameta as well as Amazon are all reliable sources. Another often overlooked source is KEH.

Start at KEH.com. Just type in: EF 35

Then, filter by Brand = Canon and you'll see the options and the relative prices for anywhere else you shop.

No, it is not indicating a fast lens. The expression "ISO 35mm lens for Canon EOS" as written makes very little sense. It sounds like a marketeer's slang. Indications of a "fast" lens might be f/1.2, or f/1.4, describing the amount of light the lens allows. You are being very wise to have your doubts, that shows "experience."

"ISO" in the title is used as a common abbreviation for "in search of".
Amazing how some people limit their reading of various terms and then choose to ridicule others over it.

After checking the archive here I found only ONE item using this abbreviation. "Common"?

If you use this forum as a guide to life, that's very sad.
The term has been used for decades in advertising, real estate, and especially in personal ads and dating sites.

I'll try and remember that...."ISO has nothing to do with photography in a photography forum when the sentence don't make sense" ! Gotcha !
....me thinks you just picking on me again MT !!!

MT,
First off, Thanks for sticking up for me!

Secondly, I do happen to be on the market for this particular lens. Would you be able to provide pictures?

Thanks again, MT!

For others reading this;
I apologize for any confusion cause by my terminology and abbreviations in the post. Regardless, thank you for your engagement in the discussion and valued information provided in the thread. :thumbup:
