I'm not sure where you are trying to go with this shot.
So for Me, I would have added some bushes or yard furnitue or something to gain a few mor compositional elements. Ideally, a wide eyed kid pushing the launch button, strobe lit as main subject would work for me. Can't say if anyone else would like it.
As is I think you put together a pretty clever shot that has a lot going for it.

I agree with Bassman. Technically you captured the launch well. Great idea! It does lack in composition. There is a lot of negative space and needs something to tie it all together. The path of the rocket is chopped off at the top of the page. It would have been nice to see the full arch ( I realize that there is little control of where the rocket goes)
I think you are on to something here. Worth working at it.

Hi BassmanBruce
Agreed the wide eyed kid would have been a good touch!! What I really wanted was a series of images caught by the strobe. Two are clearly visible and a third is very faint and after it had left the launch rod. The Launch happens very fast and I need to work on sequencing it better, time wise. I did lots of trials with out launching the rocket before I got the frame I presented.
Thanks for the input!!

Thanks Pebbles
Now I have an excuse to buy some more equipment. I agree that if I had used a wider lens or elevated the launch platform I could have caught the arc which would have been better because in this particular launch it did appear to arc over the moon.
Unfortunately My wife who was assisting me failed to catch the launch video on her cell phone. We will do it again when the weather has cooled off and killed the bothersome mosquitoes.
Thanks for your input.
