Sitting at my computer when I caught movement from corner of my eye. Stood and grabbed these shots through the window or screen within ten seconds before he flew away. Air Traffic Control gave no warning!

Actually, it was a very lucky shot. I had a CPL on the lens and aperture set at 7.1 and the Red Tail was in shade so ISO was at 800 which is high for my T3i. I was surprised it even was viewable.

You're quicker on the draw than am I. I was driving about the neighborhood yesterday and a hawk flew down and landed in the grass. By the time I reached over to bring my camera to my eye, he was already gone. I love raptors, and you captured this one beautifully.
