Continue to watch the announcements on Yahoo on Windows 10. Take time to read them and save time using Windows 10.

Have you "right clicked" on the Start Icon in the lower left corner of the screen.... where the menu pops up....

Whoooaahh!!!!

Another menu with a bunch of stuff that you may want to access.

LIKE the Control Panel...

Yes, the old control panel is still in Windows 10 looking much like it did in 7...... along with the new Settings screens that pop up with the new Start Menu.

Windows 10 just keeps getting better, the more you use it.

That's not new, you could do the same thing in W8, you simply had to move the mouse pointer into the bottom left corner until it disappeared and then right click et voila lots of useful things pop up.
I am glad you like W10, so do I, unfortunately there are bound to be lots of negative responses, it's rather like anything new such as a car, camera or house something will be wrong with it.

You can do even better by installing Classic Shell and setting it to appear in one of three Windows start styles. I am using Win7.

I custom installed Win 10 pro and also unchecked stuff that Microsoft spies with. When it finally loaded I was surprised to see that my desktop looked identical to Win 7 pro. Every icon was in the same place. Only 1 problem and somehow it was solved overnight, I assume by MS.

I did the same as you did to unchecked their spying. Everything is fine except once every other start up, I will lose my WiFi connection to my internet network, I have to go through the trouble shooting from Window in the control panel to reconnect it. It only takes a couple minute but it's annoying! It had never happened with my old W-7 pro!

I downloaded and installed "10" on my Acer netbook. It was done quickly and everything seems to be working as it should. I have been using it for a few days and like it even though I am not sure about "Edge" but I will keep exploring before installing it on my Dell desktop. Right now I do not see a reason not to install it.

See if you have an updated driver for the wifi. If not try reinstalling the driver.

It just mention Window did the "reset the internet WiFi adapter and the access point", then it's connected again. if I shut it down or even turn it to "sleep" whenever I turn it back on, the connection is out again. Do I need a external WiFi adapter? By the way, my internet net work is from my cable company, it has never had problem with my old Window-7.

Go into your computer's windows up grade program and read all the horror stories in the forum. I have had all the problems listed. I went back to windows 7, but Microsoft makes sure that will NOT work properly by doing this. I'll wait another 5 or more years before changing from 7 again.

My wife's HP laptop WiFi was giving us fits. Ended up buying a USB WiFi Adapter to get it to work. Note I had to physically remove the internal adapter because after rebooting it kept enabling the internal unit. They are easy to remove.

Thanks for the advice, I will think about that.
I may end up with a new laptop, but will wait to see any more issue from the W-10. Which will be in every new PC or laptop at the future anyway.
