I already have Nikon D7100 and Sony A6000. This would be my third camera for cruising and shooting distance.
Mine is scheduled to arrive tomorrow---fingers crossed. I ordered in July.
stepha11 - did you order through Amazon ? if so when exactly and dd you get a notification that it has been shipped ?
Amazon.ca No notice that it has actually shipped but I do have a shipping notice and promise for tomorrows date. so I sure am hopeful. Getting real eager. It will be a real travelling companion to my 750 and 5200.

Just venting my frustration with Amazon/Nikon. I ordered Nikon p900 (backordered) on July 17th. I even bought in advance a uv filter and 2 extra batteries. Still waiting for the camera. Been more than a month now.
Anyone bought this camera from Amazon and received it ?
B&H doesn't have it either.

Maybe you still have time to cancel and get a real camera that shoots RAW.
P900 example
Not the sharpest photos, but the range is pretty amazing.

A friend of mine had one on order at Sammy's Camera and it was taking forever. She placed an order, gave a credit card at B&H and had it 2 weeks later.
Just a thought here:
Since this seems to be a Very popular item there is no doubt some crafty con-men (and women .....if not LGBT types) may try to steal your money without sending you a product in return ! .....So be careful who you deal with, will you ! :XD:
I ordered through Nikon USA and the order was filled in about two weeks, even though initially, it was on back order. This was in mid July.

I assume they are slackening P900 production in preparing for the imminent update which will include the inexcusably omitted Raw capability. :?

I am sure they are working hard producing as many P900 as possible. It is a bestseller, that is for sure. I have one that I got 2 weeks ago and it is a nice camera in many ways. The lens and the zoom range is something else than I have had before and they have done a very good job with the image stabilizing. But what this camera lacks is not the RAW, but a bigger sensor. The sensor is the number one drawback for this camera. If they could use a bigger sensor, not even the CX sensor but if they only would use f.x. the same sensor as Nokia has in the Lumia 1020 phone which is about 2 times larger than the Nikon P900 sensor and has 41 megapixels, then many people would be very happy and then we could use some RAW also. Still it is a sensor that is small enough to make it possible without adding much to weight and cost to make a P900 like camera around it. But the fact is that the current P900 simply does not have a sensor that is good enough. Pictures just do not look good at full size, and not even RAW can change that.

I would put an order in with MT Shooter, then cancel the others when one arrives...
Amazon is not your friend.

Finally have official shipping notice for this Tues.
Ordered June 30th. Amazon.ca . Better be worth the wait.
there's all kind of p900 on ebay, 100.00 to 150.00 over price
Got mine yesterday. Amazon.ca must really love me...they sent me two P900s. Strong temptation to make a quick buck but Ill see if honesty is indeed the best way!!!
