I recently heard about crystal ball photography, so thought I'd give it a shot. This is my first attempt. Kind of fun and something different.

This is beautiful. Where did you get the crystal ball and how did you keep it from rolling around? Where were you standing when you took the picture? What equipment and settings?

I ordered the crystal ball online. Just google crystal ball photography and you'll find some info there. I heard about it from a friend. For this particular photo, my husband was holding the ball and I shot fairly close to the ball, focusing on it, and the background blurred out. I used my Nikon D7200 with a Tamron 16-300mm lens, ISO 100, 1/80, f6.3. The ball came with a little crystal stand with the center curved out to hold the ball, and the next attempt I placed it on my tripod. Fun!
