Getting more experience with my new lens

I am definitely not accustomed to using a lens as big as my new Tamron 150-600, but it is getting easier with more practice.

Here are some more recent shots. Critiques are welcomed.

BTW, I received my rebate check today.

Nice series. With a lens of this reach it's often easy to get in too close. For example, if there'd been a good reflection of the Spoon Bill you'd have missed it. Just something to think about. djt

Your analysis is correct - it is fun to use all of those 600 millimeters! In the example that you gave - the spoonbill - I did use them all. I would not have if the birds reflection had been a recognizable mirror image.

Great shots Madman, love the colors and detail, very well done, looks like you have the lens mastered.
