Took about 300 photos of the re-enactment and thought I would share my favorites. It was my first time at one of these events.
I think these are the best re-enactment photos I've ever seen! Very well done, vino2nite!
I don't get out like I used to simple because since moving South, every reenactment place says I can just at my entrance fee and take pictures from 50 yards away. Same as a general public normally does.
When I tell them I'm an experienced reenactment photographer and normally take pictures from hidden places near the reeactors, they change there tune. They want me to pay them $200 -$400!
They are crazy. I understand the entrance fee but not additional fee. Since I offer photos to the actors, there is no way I'm going to pay for the privilege to give them away for free!
At my old home I photographed alot and never got in anyone's way. In fact, many of the people in the Texas 4th, like me being there and considered me part of the group.
I'm referring to both men and women in the field and campsite.
Okay, I'm done complaining. Bye.
Thanks for the compliment! My pictures were taken with my Nikon D300 and Nikon 18-200mm lens. All were adjusted slightly and some were cropped for effect. Handheld. Just an amateur!
