Quite a windy day but persevered and got a few shots. All with Pentax K-3 and 100mm macro lens + 31mm Extension tube.

This fly has only 2 oval compound eyes. The near antenna is out-of-focus and in front of the near eye, dividing it into two unequal sections.

Seems to be the general consensus cheers, can't remember every seeing one of these when hunting before so another 1st, they are a tiny wee thing though
